ERDAS APOLLO Technical Training

This course is a strong technical introduction to ERDAS APOLLO 2009. Students are introduced to Geo-ICT concepts and an overview of ERDAS APOLLO and learn about ERDAS APOLLO Server, ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager and ERDAS APOLLO Solutions Toolkit*. The last half day also includes discussions on concepts and examples. (5 days)

*ERDAS APOLLO Solutions Toolkit requires knowledge in Java and Javascript programming

  • Spatial Data Infrastructures
  • Service Oriented Architectures applied to GIS
  • Web Map Service(WMS), Web Mapping Context(WMC), Web Feature Service(WFS), Web Coverage Service(WCS)
  • Filters; Portrayal, SLD; Catalog Service Web - ebRIM profiles

      ERDAS APOLLO Server - Introduction: (2 days)

    • WMS; WCS; WFS
    • Service Cataloguing; Transactional WFS and Security

      ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager (EAIM): (2 days)

    • EAIM Introduction and Installation
    • EAIM walkthrough
    • Hands-on
    • EAIM Advanced configuration

        ERDAS APOLLO Solution Toolkit Introduction: (0.5 days)

      • Solution Toolkit and API's overview: WMS, WCS, WFS, Filter, Portrayal etc.
      • Decoder framework
      • Concepts and Components (map and navigation, manage layers, tiling, GML/shapefile uploading and feature editing
      • Basic hands-on
