ERDAS at USFS Remote Sensing Conference
15 April 2008
Norcross, GA – ERDAS, Inc. announces its participation in the United State Forest Service (USFS) Remote Sensing Conference April 15-17, 2008 in Salt Lake City Utah at the Radisson Salt Lake Hotel.
ERDAS is highlighting a broad array of enterprise solutions implementing Service Oriented Architectures (SOAs), including the recently announced ERDAS Image Manager, a solution for efficiently storing and quickly sharing imagery throughout the enterprise. ERDAS Image Manager solves business problems associated with securely discovering, describing, cataloging and serving imagery to a variety of web and rich client applications throughout an organization. In addition, ERDAS is also featuring ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2, the industry’s leading and most complete collection of software tools designed to manipulate, process and understand imagery.
“The USFS RS Conference promotes remote sensing and geospatial applications and techniques that benefit field users,” said Christopher Tucker, Senior Vice President, Americas and National Programs, ERDAS. “With ERDAS’ solutions, users can seamlessly integrate our technology to address their authoring, managing, connecting and delivering needs within the geospatial information lifecycle.”
The USDA Forest Service biennial conference on remote sensing and related geospatial technologies has been dubbed RS-2008. The theme for this year's conference is "Supporting Resource Management with Technology," with an emphasis on practical applications of remote sensing technologies that benefit the resource management community.
